Dhoom 3

Dhoom 3 (2013)

On 2 February 2011, Yash Chopra confirmed that the third installment of the series would go on floors at the end of 2011 featuring Aamir Khan playing anti-hero and planned for a Christmas 2012 release. Vijay Krishna Acharya was worked about one year on the script of Dhoom 3. According to Yash Chopra “It is possibly one of the best scripts coming out of our production house (Yash Raj Films)”. When talking about Dhoom 3 Khan went on commenting that “Victor’s script really won me over and I look forward to working with him.” Aditya Chopra decided to cast a new face for the female lead, but was unable to find a perfect debutant. And eventually selected Katrina Kaif for the role.
It was announced that the composer of Dhoom and Dhoom 2, Pritam will return once again to compose the music of the third installment.
The principal photography of the film was expected to stard from November 2011, taking about 11 months to complete. But it was later postponed to May 2012 because Aamir Khan wanted time to finish Reema Kagti’s Talaash. In March 2012 reports claimed that shooting of Dhoom 3 is indefinitely postponed due to future commitments of Aamir Khan. But Yash Raj Films however denied the reports by saying “This is absolutely baseless. Dhoom 3 starts shooting in May 2012 and Aamir Khan joins the schedule in June as per plan.”
Reportedly, the producer of the film, Aditya Chopra wanted to make the film in 3d format, feeling that the success of Haunted 3D showed that Indian audiences have opened have opened up to cinema viewing. But actor Aamir Khan is not convinced as he thinks ‘making a 3D film needs more expertise.’ Some sources still maintain that the film will release in 3D.
